ABOUT THE ARTIST​

Kerstin Dzewior lives and works in Berlin as a free artist. Her work has been showed at the Position Berlin Art Fair multiple times and is part of different private collections. Her outstanding talent can be found in the way she puts her instinct, thoughts and emotions into her figures through an intuitive, highly empathic painting process. She is co fonder of FOYOU, an artist collective wich organises and curates yearly large exhibitions.​

"In my work, I am mainly concerned with femininity. As objectively clear as this painting is, it is at the same time interwoven with analogies and the highest sensitivity. The women are isolated and at the same time absorbed in themselves. They play with strings, juggle with balls, draw lines on the wall or gaze into the distance. Frozen into still images of a narrative that the viewer must discover for themselves. What happened before and what happens afterwards remains hidden."
