ABOUT THE ARTIST

​Martin Dreves Castillo, also known as Murt, is a Colombian-German artist whose multicultural background profoundly influences his artistic practice. Growing up in Botswana, Colombia, and Ecuador before settling in Berlin in 2014, Dreves Castillo's work is a rich tapestry of cultural narratives, reflecting his diverse experiences across continents.

His artistic journey began in childhood with a fascination for drawing television characters, which later evolved into a deep commitment to mixed-media paintings. His work seamlessly blends oil, acrylic, and chalk, creating abstract pieces that explore themes such as identity, evolution, and the complexities of human experience.
