VERONIKA CHEREDNYCHENKO

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Veronika Cherednychenko, born and raised in Ukraine, creates evocative art that reflects her deep connection to cultural memory, identity, and nature. Her work explores the boundaries between personal and collective histories, blending natural and industrial materials to reflect the resilience and evolving nature of identity. Growing up in a post-Soviet landscape, Veronika’s practice is a response to her experiences of migration, transformation, and the reconnection of fragmented memories. She studied Fine Arts in Kyiv, with a focus on installation and sculptural techniques that highlight the themes of memory and environment.

ARTIST STATEMENT

"My art is a reflection of the landscapes—both emotional and physical—that have shaped my identity. I aim to create spaces within my work where viewers can confront the layered aspects of memory and history. I am inspired by the resilience of nature and the tenacity of cultural symbols, seeking to bridge the natural world with human experience. Through the juxtaposition of natural and industrial elements, I aim to reveal the contradictions and harmonies that shape who we are and who we become."
